Free yourself and appreciate the blessings you have

2 min read

Why do you worry about life’s unfairness because of the lack of your wants and unfulfilled dreams?

Are you fixated on things you believe would make your life better than it is now and have created an imaginary idea of a perfect life? And hoping that if your perfect life presents itself, then you will be happy.

The gospel truth is that whatever you need to be happy is present in your life at every moment. All you are doing is failing to appreciate the little blessings in your life.

The future holds the life you dream of but today holds a reflection of the life you have lived up to this moment. Which is a summation of all your decisions and choices in your past? You must not beat yourself up because it’s not what you want it to be?

Don’t allow today to pass you by without enjoying what you have. Always be on the lookout for the little blessings and celebrate it. The fact that you woke up today feeling strong is a blessing. Don’t take it for granted, because it won’t be so always. Celebrate it because you have another shot to achieving your dreams.

Be grateful today that you don’t own a car because you don’t have to worry about maintenance and fuelling. It won’t always be so.

You have to cherish every moment in your life. Everything that you experience both good or bad is for you to learn what life is and it will shape you. Don’t box yourself to conform to what is allowed and what’s not. Liberate yourself from all worries and have faith that all the answers your future holds will be to the questions you ask today.

Whatever comes our way, embrace it. Allow yourself to appreciate the situation, deal with it and move on.

We worry too much and that’s killing more people in the 21st century as tribal and ethnic wars did in the past.

Free yourself from your own captivity, feel life at every moment. Don’t wait until you build a house or get your dream job to feel that you have arrived.

You are not here forever, you are just passing through.
